Our Story

“We are proud to be living models of this western way of life; a way of life that we think is too amazing to simply let fade into legend just yet. We train the horses, we push the cows, we stretch the fence and we wouldn’t trade it for the world. We are blessed to have amazing friends and neighbors in a wonderful community, to all of you and for those who don’t know us yet, come ride along with us through our story!”

Kelli Crowley

Kelli was practically born on a horse and wouldn’t have had it any other way. From the moment the reins were put in her hands, horses have been her truest calling. She constantly strives to do right by her horses, always practicing a soft touch and keen sense of correct horsemanship as handed down by her parents and her grandpa, a REAL cowboy, TRUE horseman and former Pacific Coast Hackamore Champion trainer.

From barefoot and bareback to barrel racing and gathering cows, Kelli loves starting her own colts and watching them develop into quiet, skilled partners. Having been an open rider here since the age of 15, Kelli has put hour upon hour in the big arena and loves seeing it mean as much to other riders as it does to her.

“I don’t know who or where I’d be without horses and this place. I’ve done so much riding and so much growing up in the years and miles me and my horses have gone around in this arena dirt. I never thought I’d be at its helm, but I’m thankful I get to be here making sure Crowley Ranch continues to offer our local community and equine industry an amazing place to ride, train compete and push for big dreams.”

Steve Crowley

Steve got a bit of an unconventional start in life, as a survivor of childhood leukemia, he has a different sense of purpose and a greater drive for life. While restricted to a hospital bed and wheel chair, he found freedom in the wilds of John Wayne movies and televised rodeos and so his interest in horses, cattle and a western lifestyle was peaked.
Fast forward to present day, he’s the healthy, ambitious, hilarious and genuine Steve we all are lucky to know. He’s used his skills in the saddle as a pick-up man for junior rodeos around Oregon and Washington. He loves gathering cows and bucking horse herds when he gets the chance and can throw a mean ropin’ loop. Steve manages his own herd of Angus cattle and turns every screw of the western life he’s building at Crowley Ranch. Rain or shine, day in and day out, Steve can be found running everything from tractors to a track-hoe, pickup trucks to semi trucks, doing everything it takes (plus more!) to live out the gift of this life.

“I love this property because of it’s unique ability to offer a place to ride horses, keep cows and meet new people all the time. Seeing so many people come out and enjoy their horses, seeing families spending time together and sharing in something they love is very fulfilling to me. Having been in a hospital as a kid and experiencing families in such hard situations makes me so thankful to provide and share a place here where everyone can enjoy being healthy and happy.”
